Footman's War Flail

Own a true museum quality flail with styling based on the actual items found in ''digs'' under and around the castles of Europe. These large blunt weapons were favorites for smashing strong - plate-based armor that sharp weapons such as swords had difficulty cutting through. This hand-crafted masterpiece has an overall extended length of approximately 60 inches! The diameter of the spiked metal cast balls is 1 3/4 inches. The individual spikes on each ''ball'' are approximately 1/2'' long. The handle is crafted from aluminum spanning a whopping 43.5 inches...over 3 1/2 feet! This style weapon was widely used throughout the ages and replicates the style and construction of those early flail weapons. This particular flail is a two-handed weapon - generally wielded by foot soldiers. This belongs in every collection!
